Frusen Tid
Forsta Kapitlet
In the fall of 2013, Frusen Tid was born from a small and dirty rehearsal space in the industry town of Surahammar. Frusen Tid classifies their music as "Folk-punk-rock" and they'r influences ranges from multiple artists and genres such as Dia Psalma, Bellman and Accept to name a few. The important aspect of Frusen Tid's music is not to have the most beautiful singing voice or the fastest guitar solos the world has ever heard, but rather more towards the melody, feeling and general atmosphere along with the stories the lyrics are telling the listener. Speaking of the lyrics, they can range all the way from witchhunts in the 15th century to thoughts and stories about todays society. The first track that was written was ultimately named "Mitt Liv Mitt Val" (My Life My Choice), which stands to show the bands distance towards politics. A short time thereafter, three more tracks were written and named "Moder Jord" (Mother Earth), "En Frusen Tid" (A Frozen Time) and "I Elden" (In The Fire) and they were later recorded towards promotional purposes in the Bleeding Music Studios in 2014. That promotional recording was then released on Youtube during May that same year. In the summer of 2014, the band got the opportunity to play the annual "Kungnasfestivalen" in Nykoping and as a newly formed band they were then on stage together for the first time. The promotional CD was quickly getting popular on Youtube and the band was hard at work writing additional material. During the winter of 2015, Frusen Tid signed with Bleeding Music Records and entered the studio towards the end of January that same year to start the recording process of their debut album "Forsta Kapitlet" (First Chapter), that was produced along with Andreas "Fluff" Moren, who also mixed and mastered the album. The album is released the 10th of July of 2015 and contains a total of 15 tracks
