Fee
Notaufname
Produced by ex-Rattles Frank Mille FEE played rock with New Wave-bonds. The emergence of the "German New wave" with the Nina Hagen Band or even FEHLFARBEN, all sung in German, gave the occasion to record the album with German lyrics. A wise occasion, the debutalbum "Notaufnahme" from 1981 sold more than 150,000 units s and signified the beginning of a very successful career for the band from Braunschweig. The debut album was fueled by a wave of enthusiasm. The Scene Magazine MUSICIAN wrote:" solid skirt paired with a dash of Latin, a pinch of funk and a touch of Jazz ". Especially the naughty and anarchic, always politically correct lyrics made the charm of the band. For Opener "America," the band introduced the video camera of the electronic musician Klaus Schultze, the clip can now be clicked on YouTube. For FEE meant the success of "Notaufnahme" a life on the road, the band toured whole Westgermany. In between, the band made it to the studio to record the second album "Rezeptfrei", which was originally published in 1982 and will be re-released on CD in the coming year on Sireena Records.
