Nineteen pointed reflections on all possible and impossible aspects of life, and all in under 44 minutes: tempo, distorted power chords and catchy melodies are the main ingredients for GRUSS AUS DER KUCHE, the new album by Ernte 77. The songs are shorter again, but the density of ideas is higher. Without a break, they move from one lyrical microcosm to the next, while notoriously quoting from (not only) punk history. The album is a band-typical balancing act between harmonious choruses and exhausting screaming. Ernte 77 continue to do their thing undeterred in DIY style and therefore remain one of the most unique punk bands, in the best sense of the word.
