Solid Ground

Solid Ground is the seventh album by Amsterdam based pop group The Dutch, who have been around since the eighties and reassembled in 2015. Released on the Run the Story label, Solid Ground is both inspired by social phenomena, family and art: five songs are inspired by Dutch female artists like Rineke Dijkstra, Alida Pott and Raquel van Haver. The title song Solid Ground, about dog whistles, alternative facts and conspiracies, is the single release. Musically, The Dutch follow their very own path, with typically a central role for the piano, (slide) guitar and occasional brass. Fay Lovsky features on Alida Pott. The album is released both on cd and vinyl.
