Dog Park Dissidents
The Pink And Black Album (pink & Black Splatter)
Debut album from the queer punk/glam sensation on Say-10. Exclusive limited European edition (100 copies) in pink and black splatter vinyl on Gunner! The quintet Dog Park Dissidents brings together musicians from New Orleans, Long Island and Philadelphia. With two guitars, bass, drums and a lot of joy in de-gendering, they burst onto the scene with their single "Queer As In Fuck You" in 2017 and have since released three digital EP's. In particular, the band made an impression with their over-the-top live performances. The 13 songs on the physical debut "The Pink And Black Album" give an idea of ??the effect of these shows: the anarchistic energy of 77's UK punk meets wonderfully catchy poppunk vocals, a clear trace of wide-legged pub, teen and glam rock cannot be ignored. The band's lyrics touch on socio-political topics in a sarcastic and casual way, naturally combining queer liberation with class struggle, topics such as environmental destruction or the fight against elites. Gay, kinky and furry like the musicians themselves, this music spills out of the speakers as a party soundtrack for the campy upheaval. If you don't want to be here, you must be dead.
