Die Regierung
So Allein & 80er Kassettenaufnahmnen
DIE REGIERUNG (The Government) - and later Tilman Rossmy's solo albums - were a natural part of the so-called Hamburg School in the 1990s. Several years after the singer said a "French farewell," the bands 1984 debut album, "Supermull," is re-released (2015), forcing the band to take back the farewell thing because they are so good at themselves finds. After my visit to the reunion concert in Hamburger Knust, I can only confirm this: I missed them for a long time, these big emotional moments that Tilman Rossmy's laconic and worldly wise stories create in harmony with the music. The whole is definitely more than the sum of its parts, and at the end of their tour the gentlemen decide: "Without government, we cant go any further." The result, as they say, is now history itself - the fourth one appears with "ONLY". new album since signing with Staatsakt. "NUR" was produced by Olaf O.P.A.L. (The Notwist, International Music), short and painless, natural, as if he had always been there. The track "Nothing to Achieve" is only included because its an old trick of his to include an unproduced demo in the middle. Hear hear! So that's what it sounds like when Tilman Rossmy introduces his band to a new song! Even in a 1-finger piano line there is a lot of love in the end. (Markus Gores)
