Deadspace
Unveiling The Palest Truth
Deadspace, is an Australian Black Metal band who founded their roots in the Suicidal / Depressive approach of black metal back in 2014, but slowly started to shape their own sound album by album while drifting further and further away from the so called DSBM scene. Their 7th full length album Unveiling the Palest Truth is the perfect example as they show you a more violent and dissonant sound compared to their previous albums. Unveiling the Palest Truth has an overall haunting vibe with interludes, synths, samples and spoken words. The music itself is very destructive, raging and in a dissonant way also atmospheric. The guitars roar through the album with enough variation from fast riffing to even mid strumming parts where the melodies get a moment to shine. The drums are pounding along with the bass guitar in a beautiful companionship that elevates the whole sound of the music to a more aggressive tune. The vocals give the final touch and deliver mixtures between violent screams and haunted, desolated speeches that blend in very well on the overall sound of the album. Deadspace has delivered a rare, yet more mature album in their discography (compared to previous works) that fans of the Dissonant Black Metal scene will very much like to dig into.
