Dankoes, The
Some Kind Of Grit
Project by the London-based musician from Madrid Javier H. Ayensa, together with the ubiquitous Juancho Lpez (Peralta, Kurt Baker Combo, Paul Collin's Beat, Bummer.) on bass, and Jamie Shaw on drums, almost entirely recorded at Guitar Town studios, with the guarantee of Hendrik Rover. It could be said that we are facing a conceptual work, in which Javier's own experiences are narrated and that are reflected in some lyrics that condition the phrasing, almost Dylan, and that turn Javier into a true storyteller, like Neil Young, or Nick Lowe himself when he pulls irony. As a guitarist, Javier can be considered an architect of memorable riffs and solos that exude the essence of Rory Gallagher and Jimi Hendrix himself.
