Crime Desire's "Every Day in Chains" is a four song 12" ep of dark, blistering hardcore, seething with social contempt and morbid imagery. Building off the foundation of the band's 2008 Samhain/Amebix/death rock influenced self-titled lp, Crime Desire injects a dose of 80's UK hardcore into their sound, taking cues from groups like English Dogs and Antisect, giving their trudging, brooding songs a sense of urgency and adrenaline while maintaining a dark atmosphere. Recorded at Big Fish studios and mastered at Chicago Sound, Crime Desire put care into every step of putting their music out on vinyl, and their efforts were not wasted, as "Every Day...In Chains" is truly a sonically devastating work.
