Cotton, Josie/hayley And The Crushers
Split
Kitten Robot release their first-ever split single, featuring two of their most prominent acts - label founder Josie Cotton and label faves Hayley and the Crushers. "Day of the Gun" is the title track from Josie's latest LP, and "Lust for Life" brings the recent Iggy Pop cover/digital single to the vinyl-loving fans. Josie released a "Day of the Gun" video (featuring Frankie Loyal from The Mayans) which has 20K+ views. Said Music-News.com "Day of the Gun bops in the best way possible. Clever vocals float over lean and mean guitars and drums. It rocks hard when it needs to, and it pulls back when it wants to highlight Cottons Debbie Harry-caliber voice." The Eastern Echo, from Iggy's home state of Michigan, said "The main focus of this cover is the rocking vocals. There is a male and a female voice, which gives the song more dimension. Hayley Cain, the lead vocalist, uses her high vocal range to emanate that of Iggy's, and she succeeds." The split will be released with an aggressive social media campaign and Google ads.
