Cordio, Carlo Maria
Rosso Sangue
80 years after his birth, Beat Records in collaboration with Nocturno Cinema pays homage to Joe D'Amato (aka Aristide Massacesi), a brilliant, irreverent, talented pioneer of our local film industry. An undisputed and controversial maestro of cinema, the great cameramen and daring filmmaker made over 200 films spanning virtually every genre, from westerns to horror, from swashbucklers to peplum, from fantasy to hard and softcore erotica. Our first release in this new series dedicated to a great and old friend of Beat Records is a tribute to horror movies, in particular the slasher category, with an absolute cult classic: Rosso sangue (aka Absurd), the sequel to Antropophagus. The Maestro behind this score is the Roman musician Carlo Maria Cordio, here in his first collaboration with the director, a project that will form a strong artistic collaboration between the two. Heart-pounding music, with orchestrations and thrilling synth sounds and irrepressible tension: this recipe is not recommended for those with weak hearts. The CD is released in a jewel case with 12-page booklet, with mastering by Enrico De Gemini, liner notes (in Italian and English) by Manlio Gomarasca, graphic design by Alessio Iannuzzi and original artwork by Andrea Clanetti. Limited edition!
