Conklin, Bev & Lea Gilmore & The Blues Crew
Live At Godfrey Daniels
In 1992, New Orleans queen Beverly (Hardin) Conklin arrived in the Northeast, where she has been sharing her broad range of vocal styles and effortlessly powerful voice ever since. BC always gets the party started with her signature style and her award-winning bands. Conklin established the Women's Blues Alliance and the Lehigh River Blues Jam Festival to bring the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania community together, providing opportunities to raise awareness of upcoming Blues groups and artists. Her passion for education, history and women in the Blues is stems directly from her grandfathers, Dr. Joseph A. Hardin and Dr. Beverly V. (BV) Baranco, who were instrumental in forming the NAACP in New Orleans and hosting concerts with acts like Cab Calloway; and providing financial and educational opportunities in Baton Rouge, respectively. Unaware of the impact of her relations until recently, Bev continues to drive Blues awareness forward in both performance and recorded efforts.
