Clifford, Barbara
Introducing
Introducing Barbara Clifford! Born and bred in Chicago, Barbara Clifford is mostly know for being one of the two singers in the band the Honeybees, a major exponent of Chicago Roots-Americana music. Her passion led her to more musical adventures, most notably as a back vocalist for the Del Moroccoes or for Nick Curran's "Reform School Girl" song. Now her time as a solo artist has come and her first album is being released on Blue Lake Records. In digipack format it features 15 songs. Among them are 10 originals from the pen of Barbara and Ken Mottet, the Chicago's "Mayor of Rockabilly". The songs are a blend of 50's/60's Rock & Roll, Rhythm Blues with a touch of Soul. Many stand out for their melodic approach something rare nowadays.
