Epourall is an invitation to folk dance, as well as to intimate listening. 60 minutes in which the energy of Poitevin dance and the poetry of lament mingle whether transmitted or freshly composed. Epourall (scarecrow in Poitevin) is also the title of a song in Poitevin which stands as the regionnal language from where its originated. It's about a scarecrow who tries, in vain, to play his role in an industrially-oriented countryside. A symbol of a poetic peasantry, decimated and scorned by the world of performance and the machine. It's this theme that underpins the whole album, in both lyrics and music
