Candela, Jean-yves
E-motions
It's an ambitious project that pianist Jean-Yves Candela has composed and arranged for symphony orchestra. It's an unclassifiable work, rich in melodies and harmonies drawn from his jazz culture. It is inspired by the classical tradition of the three-movement concerto for cello, beginning with a melancholy, mysterious theme, followed by flamenco notes, dear to the composer's origins, and ending with a movement that takes us to Brazil, the color of the musician's heart. This album, like an impressionist painting, takes us on a journey, thanks to the different soloists, into a universe that is at times fantastic, at times poetic, through a multitude of emotions.
