Wonderfully crafted compilation of ten remastered highlight songs by the US rock 'n' roll singer as a 10" vinyl LP in a 350 gram sleeve on Rhythm Bomb. Forgotten by most today, Lillian Briggs, who grew up in Pennsylvania, was the first female star of burgeoning rock 'n' roll, she released 18 singles as main artist between 1955 and 1961. Passionate about jazz as a trombonist in the high school band, she continued to hold her trombone as her trademark as lead singer , expressive voice plus the almost unique position as a singer let the Australian Sydney Morning Herald call her "Queen of Rock'n'Roll".The ten very danceable songs on "Follow The Leader" are four recordings for the label Epic, supplemented by three later cuts for Coral Records and further recordings on Sunbeam and ABC-Paramount.Charismatically, the artist leads through the lively and melodic Rock'n'Roll and Rhythm'n'Blues numbers
