Sok & Lior ShoovAfter their first tour in Germany in 2022, and the enthusiastic response to their Boucan in front of a non-French-speaking audience, the two stubborn musicians asked themselves the question of words in music.Their answer was radical: they would compose an entire repertoire without words or in an unknown language, straight out of Martian gibberish.To round off this brand new repertoire, the lively Bastien Pelenc (Algecow, Cirque Trottola...), violinist and multi-instrumentalist, will add his feverish energy to the duo.The participation of G.W. Sok, lead singer of The Ex, the Dutch experimental post-punk band whose influence Boucan has claimed from the start, in a language as dark as their own, was a godsend. That of Lior Shoov, a playmate for over ten years, from parallel paths to wild crossings, an enchantment.Calling on Mister John Parish, with whom they recorded their first album "Déborder", released in 2019, was an obvious choice. That first meeting at Rockfield Studioswas such a lesson, not in sound or technique, but in simplicity, spontaneity and a sense of the essential, which this new opus, recorded in five days, is full of.You don't record a `song' with John Parish, but a moment, a `kairos'.
