Anyone who knows Jack Bottleneck understands why he knows how to perform the songs he sung with persuasion. He is authentic, pure and above all a musician, someone who has experienced almost all sides of life. After several dark years, he climbed his way up up to focus on a musical future. Jack grew up in the Frisian Woods, where people are stubborn, "oars as oars" and free-spirited. At a young age he was taught many musical styles, which can be clearly heard in his characteristic raw voice and use of instruments. His roots lay mainly in the blues, bluegrass, country blues and Americana, honest and sincere but staying true to the basics. With his Americana-based repertoire, he succeeds time and again in exciting, stunning and charming the audience. Jack Bottleneck shared the stage with the likes of Danny Vera, Julian Sass, Hackensaw Boys, Scott H Biram, Henhouse Prowlers, and many more. He also appeared in radio and t.v. documentaries like: The Staat van Stasse, Fiel de Nacht and de Weg naar de Melkweg. He has been playing with a band since 2019, with the permanent line-up; Rob Taekema on bass, Herman Frank as solo guitarist and Johannes Blanksma on drums.
