Bombshell Rocks
Scars And Tattoos (orange Crush)
Its been over ten years since BOMBSHELL ROCKS released anything with their classic lineup and these two tracks prove it was well worth the wait. Almost 20 years have gone by since they formed in 1995, but this Swedish streetpunk powerhouse seems to have the right motivation behind this reformation and resurgence. The tunes pack the same punch, quality soundwriting, and hooks that fans have come to expect, and the impressive packaging suits this new release perfectly. The hand-drawn tattoo art by Taler Nicols (Let It Bleed Tattoo, SF) is printed on a semi-transparent vellum jacket, which creates a layered effect with the artwork printed on the normal paper inner sleeve-yielding a seriously cool and definitely unique package. The band members admit that this release makes them feel like they are 15-year-old kids again, and theyre already planning shows and a new album in late 2014. While their last full-length may have been titled The Conclusion (Sailors Grave, 1996), it certainly was not, and BOMBSHELL ROCKS will show that they have a lot more to offer up!
