Blusom
The Metapolitan
Using very few samples or synths, and without sequencers, Blusom captures the soul of analog manipulations by Eno, Branca and Rhys Chatham. Meanwhile, they manage to erect these visions around Behrenhausens delicate, personal pop structures a la East River Pipe. The Metapolitan is a diverse listening experience highlighted by up-tempo rock (Midnights and Mornings), no-wave nods (No Rivers, No Lips), affecting ballads (Undercurrents and Carnival), and infectious indie-pop (The Ticks: Tick, Tick).
