Bloody Jug Band
Rope Burn
Drawing inspiration from historic JUG bands of the 1920s and 30s as well as the darker side of Blues and Rock n Roll, The Bloody Jug Band carves out its own niche in a genre of music that has never seen such a bloody incarnation. Founded in 2009, this 8-piece group has adapted traditional Jug band instruments like: washboards, washtub bass, mandolin and the harmonica, to create their one-of-a-kind sound. Their new album, "Rope Burn," marks their second collaboration with producer Justin Beckler. As well, industry legend, John Keane of John Keane Studios from Athens Georgia (REM, Widespread Panic, The Indigos), was tapped to master the album. The eye catching album artwork was created specifically for the BJB by world renowned rock poster artist, Greg 'Stainboy' Reinel. In 2012 the band received critical acclaim both in the US and Europe with their first full length entitled, "Coffin Up Blood." But, with this new release, the band charts new waters and gives their audiences a more mature sound. The Bloody Jug Band consists of eight members: Cragmire Peace, Stormy Jean, Brian Shredder, Steevil, Bloody Rick Lane, Seth Funky, Bid Daddy Jerm and Baby Dingo. The Bloody Jug Band's music currently can be heard on over 100 Radio Stations in over a dozen countries and has also been featured on a variety of TV shows and film scores. Acclaimed horror director, Steven Shea of Abyssmal Entertainment has also been recruited to release the bands new music video for the song, "Beautiful Corpse," which will be released in tandem with the new album release (April 13th). This will be the third video Shea has directed for the BJB and will available through the bands Youtube Channel, found here: www.Youtube.com/TheBloodyJugBand Press has called the band everything from Florida Swamp Noir, Outlaw Country, Southern Bluegrass, Jug Rock and many others...but no label can quite describe the unique dynamic of the BJB's Live Jamboree's and unique musical approach.
