Tumulte
Tumulte is about Célia Kameni ! This repertory was written for her, by authors who know her (or think they know her!) And offers a framework commensurate with her multifaceted artistic personality.<br />"Tumulte" is about life, encounters, and ruptures.<br />"Tumulte" is about friendships, celebrations and defeats.<br />Tumulte also refers to Bigre's ever-present initial will to surprise the audience with original arrangements and a powerful and rich orchestral sound.<br />They are indeed "pop" songs in french but arranged using a whole range of influences, from traditional music (Afro-American, Afro-Cuban) to jazz in its great diversity.<br />This repertoire was recorded after ten concerts. It is clear that this practice tends to disappear completely from the cultural landscape if we look at the current methods of creating french song. Indeed, this is done more and more often in the studio with a director, and less and less often with an orchestra and arrangers (and therefore with an "orchestral sound" acquired through years of collective practice).<br />It is therefore a question of updating this French song arranged and accompanied by a large orchestra (20 musicians), by renewing the current standards of creation of french song which tend to become very minimalist in terms of orchestration and arrangement. .<br />If the lyrics of this new creation aim to touch the heart of the listener, the music of Bigre! aims to take hold of his whole body and draw him into a physical and liberating « Tumulte »: dance!<br />(On music and lyrics by Félicien Bouchot, David Suissa, Loïc Lantoine, Sarah Mikovski, Willy Play, Barbara Frey, arrangements by Alois Benoit, Jon Boutellier, Bastien Ballaz, Corentin Quemener)<br />
