'Circe' is the new album by saxophonist Simone Alessandrini, published by Parco della Musica Records, the third and final chapter of the 'Storytellers' trilogy. Leading a twelve-piece ensemble, Alessandrini continues to use music as a narrative vehicle, to recount conflicts, yearnings and sublimations of mankind. After the eponymous 'Storytellers' (2017) in which, between myth and history, he had evoked some common but at the same time legendary characters against the backdrop of the Second World War, and 'Mania Hotel' (2021), dedicated to the theme of madness, in this new album Alessandrini represents in music themes as topical as ever of the state of nature of man, compared to the state of culture.
