Alarmsignal
Insomnia
ALARMSIGNAL has been a well-known name in the punk scene for 25 years. With their last album "Asthetik des Widerstands" reaching number 20 on the German charts and many sold-out shows, theyve gained recognition beyond the German punk scene. Now theyre back with their ninth album, "Insomnia." The title "Insomnia" reflects the sleepless nights many people experience in these challenging times. Singer and bassist Steff says, "Political and social issues like ignorance, selfishness, hate, and the rise of right-wing ideas in Europe keep us awake. Racism, antisemitism, fake news, and sexism are everywhere." These concerns inspired the new album. The band recorded the album in various locations, from remote cottages to city studios, using new creative methods. They worked with Manuel Renner and Michael Czernicki, creating powerful and emotional songs like "Rest Your Eyes" and the experimental track "Neonlichter." "Insomnia" also features guest appearances from artists like Sebastian Madsen from MADSEN, Sarah Lesch and many more.
